WOW is all I can say. The dogs this year were all amazing. It was definately a showcase of the best of the best. I saw so many dogs with top anatomy, top movement and (the most fun) top work! There were some AMAZING females there, which I loved to see. People just dont seem as interested in theBitches and its a shame. They totally blew me away this year and in my opinion, outworked the males. I will be ading pics in the critique section as I sort them out so that visuals can be given to the descriptive/learning posts. If you have never been to a Sierger Show, I suggest you go just once to watch, regardless of where in the breed your interests lie. Its definately worth it! Now, on to a more personal note (and Im ever so slightly abusing my mod privelages in order to brag on every board (LOL) at least for a day or two)......
SG13 (NASS) Digger vom haus Lena!!!!
The 18-24 class was SUPER strong. Alot of new faces and some familiar ones as well in the ring. Wilfried Preuth (vom Nordkristall) of Germany was my handler. I could not have asked for a better handler. I am 100% thrilled with his skills and was lucky to get him on his first trip here to the US.
Before the ring started, Rebel and Wilfried's daughter made fast friends.
Then Rebel got a quick playtime with the chuck-it to loosen him up. He is such a ham!
a quick hug from mom
Wilfried and Rebel, ready for business.
Into the ring!
Judges comments (translated from what Wilfried told the traslator. lol): Large male, medium strong, good head, expression, color and pigment. High withers, good topline, correct fore and rear angulation.
He is #333
MY HANDSOME BOY!!!!
Im thrilled with his placement and his performance in the ring. He did everything he was trained to do. He must have made some impressions, because I cant remember ever being approached so much after a class and complemented on one of my dogs. I was surprised. I always assumed I was the only one watching him. lol. People on Sunday even remembered him. I rewarded him for being a good boy. We came home with a cooler full of raw bones, a few rolls of a new raw food, a bite sleeve, an agitation collar, 3 balls on ropes and a tug (I also treated myself to a NASS shirt, a training vest and some K-9 stickers for the truck. lol). All in all it was a great show, a great weekend and time spent with great people.
